Lamb of God Lutheran Church is a loving, compassionate, forgiving Christian family; children of God, caring for each other, strong and united in their witness of Jesus Christ and his holy Gospel.

We have been called by God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to work as an evangelistic, faithful congregation in teaching and spreading the Gospel and witnessing Christian love within the community and the world through service to others, care and concern for God's creation, and the uplifting of word and sacrament.

We believe that social ministry is an important part of our Christian duties. We reach out to the less fortunate in our community and in the world in a variety of ways:

• We prepare and serve dinner for Homeless Overflow Shelter
• We provide overnight staffing for the Overflow Shelter
• We provide space for NA meetings
• We participate in the annual Erie County CROP Hunger Walk
• We participate in "God's Work Our Hands" work parties; in recent years we have helped to rebuild the playground at McKinley School, and we have done neighborhood beautification and cleanup in the Little Italy neighborhood
• We make personal-care kits and school kits for Lutheran World Relief, who sends them on to people who need them, all over the world
• We hold an annual "Jesse Tree" drive to collect hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens for those in our community who need them
